  • This series of bathing suits literally comes from my back yard. I gathered the wood and carved day and night with the draw blade and a hand planer which then formed into this beginning of suit wear. Using wood as a material is a way of expressing a relationship to nature which in my world view includes humans. The human form is a site that can activate the counterparts of other imaginative realms, to embody a narrative in material form. This is my point of entry. I long to harmonize and flow with Nature's rhythms but synchronizing doesn't come easy and thus awkwardness, dis-connection and juxtaposition play a part in this continuous current of alignment with Nature for me.... Stay tuned as there is more to come next year...
